YES, YES, YES: Destiny's Child Reunites

     If it wasn't enough that, GQ's hottest woman of the 21st century, Beyonce Knowles, would grace the stage of Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, she will be joined by Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

    This will be the first performance of the reunited trio since 2006. Destiny's Child, one of the best selling girl groups of all time, will perform a medley of their greatest hits ending with a new song "Nuclear" produced by Pharrell Williams. Destiny's Child is also set to release a compilation album entitled "Love Songs" on Jan. 29. 

BIEBER BLOWS

       The year has already proven to be a media frenzy for young pop star Justin Bieber. Just two weeks after the death of a paparazzo, photographs have surfaced of Bieber blowing pot at a hotel party on Jan. 2 hosted by close friend Lil' Twist.

    Bieber, known for his once pristine teen image, is lucky that police have not yet taken action concerning the photos. According to The Inquisitr, Newport Beach Police was not aware of the controversial photographs until Tuesday night and there are no reports if an investigation will incur. While police have not taken immediate action, Bieber's fans have.

    The photographs sparked a Twitter movement #CutforBieber where fans posted pictures of self-harm they inflicted as a result of Bieber's drug use. According to the Indian Express, Bieber responded to his fans on twitter through a series of tweets saying that he was "'growing', 'learning' and didn't want to 'let any of you down.'"

     But how remorseful is Bieber really? It is reported that Bieber and his team have given Saturday Night Live's writer's permission to use his recent drug use as part of its spoof. Bieber is set to host SNL Feb. 9.

       Is pastoring in the future for family man and Grand Hustle rapper T.I? In an interview with Rickey Smiley, T.I. explained the title of his newly released album Troubled Man: Heavy is the Head.  T.I shared the inspiration of the album title to the scripture "To whom much is given much is required." The album is T.I's eighth and first since his release from prison. While it may be a stretch that T.I will take to the pulpit anytime soon, he may have a future in pet eulogies.

Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana Split Again

              The holidays have been a romantic time for Hollywood. But not for Wedding Crasher and Hangover actor Bradley Cooper, 37, and actress Zoe Saldana, 34. The two have split again after calling it quits before in March of 2012. Zoe Saldana, set to play Nina Simone in an upcoming biopic, spent New Year's Eve with her family in Miami, while Cooper was rumored to be working on a commercial in Prague.

     The couple was scheduled to spend the holidays in Paris. According to a source to Page six, "They all were going to Paris, but things didn't work out between them."

     Cooper will most likely be celebrating his 38th birthday alone on Jan. 5 pending another possible reunion. But let's not hold our breath, believe its safe to say engagement rings are not in this couple's future.

Bieber Fever Kills

             On Tuesday January 1, 2013, a paparazzo was killed by oncoming traffic after attempting to snap photographs of Justin Bieber's Ferrari.

           Bieber offered condolences to the family of the paparazzo in a statement. "While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim." However, this is not the first time Bieber craze has led to pandemonium and disaster. In April of 2012, in London, France, the young heart throbs' Mercedes was mobbed by overly enthusiastic and slightly crazed fans. One fan was reported to have jumped the vehicle stating, "he isn't going anywhere." Bieber and his fans escaped unscathed. Still, what about the paparazzo? What is the remedy for this Bieber fever that fans and paparazzi are succumbed to? Singer and songwriter Miley Cyrus believes it's legislation. She took to twitter advocating such change in 2013 with this, "Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in '13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn't Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!"

NeNe Leakes Engaged

        While Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star and former Miss USA Kenya Moore is hoping for a ring, NeNe Leakes has hers. Ex-husband Gregg Leakes proposed to NeNe on New Year's Eve in a grand romantic fashion with rose pedals and candles. The renewed couple has rekindled the spark in their 17 year relationship after divorcing in 2011. The divorce came in the wake of negative comments made by Gregg Leakes in a radio interview concerning his wife. In an interview, NeNe Leakes told Sister to Sister Jamie Foster Brown, "When we broke up, Gregg moved out for a year. We divorced while Gregg was out. Then, once we divorced, we found ourselves being friends. And there was nothing left to fight about." Distance seems to have brought this couple back together. The engagement is one among several recent celebrity engagements.
